The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has issued a revised schedule for CAP Round 1 of AYUSH admissions for the 2026-27 academic year, covering BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS courses under Group B, along with BPTH, BOTH, BASLP, BP&O, and BNYS courses under Group C. This notice updates the earlier registration-stage notice issued on 14th September 2026, introducing changes to the Group B timeline while declaring, for the first time, the full post-registration schedule for Group C.
Group B Schedule: BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS
Group B candidates now have a clearly defined sequence running from the registered candidate list through physical joining at the allotted college, with several stages compressed into narrow, back-to-back windows.
Publication of Registered Candidate List: 21st September 2026, after 8:00 PM
Publication of Provisional Merit List: also 21st September 2026, after 8:00 PM, released alongside the registered candidate list
Submission of Grievances: 22nd to 23rd September 2026, up to 12 noon, with the notice specifically stating that no correction will be entertained without supporting documentary proof
Publication of Final Merit List: 24th September 2026
Publication of Seat Matrix: also 24th September 2026, the same day as the final merit list

Declaration of CAP Round 1 Result: 27th September 2026
Physical Joining to Allotted College: 28th September to 1st October 2026, up to 5:30 PM, with original documents and requisite fees paid by Demand Draft
Group C Schedule: BPTH, BOTH, BASLP, BP&O, and BNYS
Group C's post-registration schedule, left undeclared in the earlier notice, has now been published in full. It follows a broadly similar structure to Group B but runs roughly three days behind it at every stage.
Publication of Registered Candidate List: 23rd September 2026
Publication of Provisional Merit List: also 23rd September 2026
Submission of Grievances: 23rd to 24th September 2026, up to 10:00 PM, again requiring supporting documentary proof for any correction to be considered
Publication of Final Merit List: 27th September 2026
Publication of Seat Matrix: also 27th September 2026
Online Choice or Preference Filling: 27th to 29th September 2026, up to 11:59 PM
Declaration of CAP Round 1 Result: 30th September 2026
Physical Joining to Allotted College: 1st to 5th October 2026, up to 5:30 PM, with original documents and requisite fees paid by Demand Draft
Understanding the DD Payment Condition on Bank Holidays
Both Group B and Group C schedules carry an identical, easy-to-overlook condition regarding fee payment during the physical joining window, and candidates should read this carefully rather than assuming standard cheque payment applies throughout.
Payment by cheque is permitted specifically on days when banks are closed for a holiday, as an exception to the standard Demand Draft requirement
Candidates who pay by cheque on a bank holiday must replace it with a Demand Draft on the next working day without fail
Failure to submit the Demand Draft on the next working day after a cheque payment can result in the admission itself being cancelled, making this a genuinely high-stakes procedural detail rather than a minor formality
Candidates should plan to arrange Demand Drafts in advance wherever possible, rather than relying on the cheque exception and risking a missed follow-up deadline
Why the Grievance Window Deserves Close Attention
Both groups include a short grievance window between the provisional and final merit lists, and the notice is explicit that no correction will be made without documentary proof submitted within that window.
Group B candidates have from 22nd to 23rd September, up to 12 noon, to raise any grievance regarding their provisional merit list position
Group C candidates have a slightly longer window, from 23rd to 24th September, up to 10:00 PM
Candidates should review their provisional merit list entry carefully as soon as it is published, rather than waiting until closer to the grievance deadline, since supporting documents need to be gathered and submitted within this fixed window
Since the final merit list is published immediately after this window closes, with no further correction stage before choice filling begins, this grievance window represents the only opportunity to fix a discrepancy before it affects seat allotment
A Schedule Subject to Change
The notice explicitly states that the entire schedule remains subject to revision based on directions from the Medical Counselling Committee, AACCC, the Central Government, State Government, or the courts, and candidates should treat this as an active possibility rather than a formality.
Candidates should check the official Maharashtra CET Cell website regularly for updates, particularly around each stage's transition, since this notice itself was issued as a revision to an earlier schedule
Given that Group C's schedule was only declared through this revised notice after being left pending in the original notification, candidates should not assume that a currently published schedule is necessarily final for either group
What Can Be Done About It
Group B candidates should focus immediately on reviewing their provisional merit list before the 23rd September grievance deadline, while preparing choice filling decisions ahead of the 24th September window rather than waiting for the final merit list to begin planning. Group C candidates, following a similar sequence roughly three days later, should apply the same discipline around their own grievance and choice filling windows. Across both groups, arranging Demand Drafts well in advance of the physical joining stage is worth prioritising now, given how strictly the notice treats a missed DD follow-up after a holiday cheque payment. Candidates comparing this AYUSH counselling timeline against other ongoing state processes this season may find it useful to review how similarly structured multi-stage schedules have played out in Himachal Pradesh and Odisha's own round-wise MBBS and BDS counselling, since several states are running comparably tight merit-list-to-allotment windows this admission cycle.
