Dr. Moopen's Medical College, located in Meppadi, Wayanad, Kerala, is a private medical institution founded by the DM Education and Research Foundation under the aegis of Aster DM Healthcare. Affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur, and approved by the National Medical Commission, the college holds NABH accreditation for its hospital and is the first medical college in Kerala established in a backward, hilly, predominantly tribal district. The institution offers the undergraduate MBBS program alongside postgraduate MD and MS courses across multiple specializations including General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Anaesthesiology, and Radiodiagnosis, with admissions based strictly on NEET and NEET-PG scores. Set on a sprawling green campus surrounded by coffee and tea plantations, the campus features a central library with digital e-journal access, well-equipped skill laboratories and ICMR research lab, smart lecture halls with advanced audio-visual aids, separate boys and girls hostels with mess facilities, indoor and outdoor sports facilities including a football-cum-cricket ground and basketball court, gymnasium, multiple cafeterias, auditorium, Wi-Fi-enabled campus, bank with ATM, and transport services.
