Sree Mookambika Institute of Dental Sciences, located in Padanilam, Kulasekharam in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, is a private dental institution established under the Padanilam Welfare Trust, affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, and approved by the Dental Council of India . As the first dental college in Kanyakumari District, its spacious, eco-friendly campus is notable for being the only dental college under its university that shares its grounds with a medical college . The institute offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program alongside Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) specializations including Prosthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Conservative Dentistry, Periodontics, Oral Pathology, and Oral Medicine . Admission to all courses is based on NEET for undergraduate and NEET MDS for postgraduate programs . The campus features include a large central library with digital resources and online journals, a spacious auditorium with thousands of seats, separate boys and girls hostels, a large multi-cuisine canteen, well-equipped pre-clinical and clinical laboratories, smart classrooms with Wi-Fi, specialty clinics for TMJ, laser surgery, and forensic odontology, a mobile dental clinic, gymnasium, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, bank with ATM, and an active international student cell .
