State Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, located at Barhalganj in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, is a government homoeopathic medical institution dedicated to undergraduate education, clinical training and patient care. The college is recognised by the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and is affiliated with Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Gorakhpur, along with Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra. The institution offers the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) programme, combining academic instruction in homoeopathic medicine with practical clinical exposure through its attached teaching hospital. The hospital provides students with opportunities for hands-on training in patient consultation, clinical case-taking, diagnosis and treatment. For the 2025-26 academic session, the college had applied for permission to conduct the BHMS course with an intake capacity of 125 seats, including EWS seats. The college also serves as a healthcare centre for the surrounding Barhalganj and Gorakhpur region, supporting the practical training of students alongside the delivery of homoeopathic healthcare services.
